Comparative Study on Microfinance and in the Middle Eastern Arab Countries and Their Impacts

The microfinance(MF) is generally considered to have the positive impacts on the reduction of poverty and on the job-creation. This research project aimed to survey the actual situation of the MF industries in the Middle Eastern Arab countries and their impacts. In the first year of this project, the global financial crisis broke out which naturally affected the MFIs in this region. In 2011, the democratization movement so called "Arab Spring" begun from Tunisia spread to most of the Arab countries. These events made me realize the dynamism of the realities and I enlarged my perspective to consider the development and governance. Although the research theme was altered, I could get some research results and have published several articles concerning these incidents.
