The following are the summary of my research activities. First, I published a book on the development of the concept of the right to self-defence from the mid-nineteenth century to 1945. In preparing for this book to be published, I studied the drafting process of the United Nations Charter. I paid special attention to the United States delegation’s view on the proviso of Article 2(4) of the Charter-‘in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations’. Second, I examined recent international judicial decisions, with particular attention to the concept of the use of force in international law and the principles of necessity and proportionality in self-defence. Finally, I also examined the concept of the use of force in relation to ‘cyber attacks’.

以下是我的研究活动总结。首先，我出版了一本关于自卫权概念从19世纪中期到1945年的发展的书。在准备这本书出版的过程中，我研究了《联合国宪章》的起草过程。我特别注意到美国代表团对《宪章》第2(4)条附带条款的看法- -“以任何其他不符合联合国宗旨的方式”。第二，我审查了最近的国际司法决定，特别注意国际法中使用武力的概念以及自卫的必要性和相称性原则。最后，我还研究了与“网络攻击”有关的使用武力的概念。
