This study discusses the franchise system in Japan, with special focus on the dual system. The results of a past survey on research and enterprise were investigated. It was found that knowledge is a key factor of the modern franchise system ; however, it has been disregarded as a deciding factor of the franchise system. Moreover, the condition of the franchisor has been well researched but not much attention has been paid to the franchisee side.

本研究探讨日本的特许经营制度，特别是双元制。对过去关于研究和企业的调查结果进行了调查。研究发现，知识是现代特许经营制度的关键因素，但知识作为特许经营制度的决定性因素却被忽视。此外，特许人的条件已经得到了很好的研究，但没有太多的关注，一直到特许经营方。
