A study on death as a social action : dynamic analysis of the hospice in Korea

本研究的目的是通过分析韩国临终关怀的现状，阐明现代韩国社会中因病死亡的事实是如何建构的，相关的行动者之间是怎样的关系，以及韩国人死亡的特点。为此，我在一些临终关怀医院和卫生福利部进行了访谈调查。然后，利用这一结果，分析了韩国临终关怀的特点、机构化的过程以及尚未解决的问题。

A purpose of this study is to clarify how the fact of death from illness is constructed in modern Korean society, what kind of relationships are made by the actors concerned, and the characteristics of Korean people's death, by analyzing the present conditions of hospices in Korea. For this purpose, I carried out an interview investigation at some hospices and the ministry of health and welfare. And then, using that result, I analyzed the characteristics of Korean hospices, process of institutionalization, and some unsolved problems.
