Effect of amelogenin on angiogenesis in vitro

We investigated whether amelogenin could induce angiogenesis in vitro. Scratch assay and boiden chamber assay showed that the migration of TKD2 cells, mouse endothelial cell line, was induced by treatment with amelogenin. Cell proliferation and development of endoyhelial cell was not induced by treatment with amelogenin. Gene expression of extracellular matrix was examined by using primer array, however, there is no difference in gene expression when cells were treated with amelogenin.
