Molecular biological analysis of periodontitis and metabolic syndrome based on renin-angiotenshin system

本研究的目的是研究肾素-血管紧张素系统（RAS）成分在人牙龈组织中的表达及其对培养的人牙龈成纤维细胞（HGF）炎症反应的影响，RAS被认为与代谢综合征的几个步骤有关。本研究表明，组织RAS在HGT中存在，IL-1β诱导的IL-6可能部分通过AT1R在HGF中调控。这些事实提示RAS可能参与了牙周病炎症反应的调节。

The aim of the present study was to investigate the expression of renin-angiotensin system (RAS) components, which has been considered to be concerned with several steps of metabolic syndrome, in human gingival tissues and the effects of RAS on inflammatory reactions in cultured human gingival fibroblasts (HGF). This study demonstrated that tissue RAS exists in HGT and IL-6 induced by IL-1β may be partially regulated through AT1R in HGF. These facts suggest that RAS may be involved in the regulation of inflammatory responses in periodontal disease.
