The purpose of this study was to provide a narrative of the daily life of elderly patients aged 65 years and over living at home with post herpetic neuralgia. It identified what big changes and problems persistent pain cased in their daily lives.The participants were 9 outpatients, who had post herpetic neuralgia. The date were collected by semi-structured interviews, and analyzed using the constant comparative method. Eight common themes were identified which related to the elder lie's life with chronic pain.
