项目摘要

本年度はまず、脳波および近赤外線分光法による脳機能計測の実験を学習障害のある被験者について行った。前年度に行った健常者についての実験で得られた知見をもとに2枚の点の描かれた図における点の多少の比較診断を行う際の脳機能計測を行ない、健常者と比較した。申請者の仮説が妥当なものであったことを裏づけ、非言語性のLDの被験者では頭頂葉の賦活が顕著化した。また言語性のLDの被験者では、健常者と同等の活動が記録された。他方、高機能自閉の被験者では逆に健常者以上の強い活動が存在する可能性が示唆された。次いで健常な被験者を対象に、前年の心理実験の(2)および(3)の課題を遂行時の脳活動の機能計測を実行した。(1)に比べるとこれら加算・減算を必要とする課題遂行時には得られた情報をいったん貯蔵する必要に迫られるため、ワーキングメモリーの中央実行系あるいはバッファーがより強く賦活するとも予想されるが、それが脳のどの部位に反映されるかを分析した。健常者について安定した結果が得られるようになったのちには発達障害のある被験者を対象に同一のパラダイムで刺激を呈示し、分析、結果を比較した。この方法によって、信頼性のある精度によって脳機能計測ができると判断されるようになった段階で研究の最終的な実験を行った。この実験では、従来とまったく別の発達障害のある被験者を対象とする。そういう個々人に全く心理実験を実施することなく、脳活動の計測を行った。その結果にもとづいて個々人が非言語性の数認知に障害を持つか、あるいは健常者と変わらないか、あるいは機能亢進が起きているかの判定がなされた。もし上記の手法での計測が精度の高いものであるならば、十分に信頼性の高い判定がでなくてはならないはずである。そののち、実際に心理的計測を実施して判定の信頼性のretrospectiveな裏づけを行ったところ、双方の知見に矛盾のない結果が得られることが明らかとなった。
