The purpose of this study was to develop an electronic diary system that presented diaries about successful experiences to enhance motivation for activity of persons with early dementia who felt a sense of loss. Results of this study are as follows.(1) A new algorism to extract texts which were written about successful experiences had developed.(2) Effective manipulation aid of an electronic device for persons with mild cognitive impairment was revealed.(3) Mental health of persons with mild dementia and elderly people was increased by using the electronic diary system.
