Evaluation of a Web-assisted English Extensive Reading Program using Multiple Step Units in a Scaffolded Framework

本研究的目的是评估对缺乏长段落阅读能力的日本大学生提供的支持，目的是提高他们的词汇、语法、上下文理解和快速阅读能力。在校园教育网络辅助平台上开发了支持练习包，使用了63个5级以上的分级英语阅读器。进行了试用和评估，学生用户的调查结果表明MSUERT（英语阅读训练的多步骤单元）的积极效果。

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the support given to Japanese university students who lack proficiency in reading long paragraphs, the aim being to improve their skills in vocabulary, grammar, context understanding and speed reading. Support exercise packages using 63 titles of graded-English readers over 5 levels were developed within a campus-based education web-assisted platform. Tryout and assessment were performed and survey results from the student users indicated a positive effect of MSUERT (Multiple Step Units for English Reading Training).
