This research tried to study how the system of employment has changed and how the Non-standardization of labor force has developed in Korea comparing with that in Japan, as the world economy has become more globalized rapidly since the 1990s. We found that the non-standard workers in Korea had more informal characteristics than in Japan, in other words, they were excluded severely from the protection of the labor law, the social security system and the trade union. That means that they have the common characteristics with the residents in the urban informal sector formed during the period of high economic growth in the 1970s in Korea. Moreover, we verified that explicit discrimination on the basis of gender definitely existed even in non-standard employment in Korea.

此次研究的目的是，从20世纪90年代开始，世界经济迅速走向全球化，与日本相比，韩国的雇佣制度发生了怎样的变化，劳动力的非标准化是如何发展的。我们发现，与日本相比，韩国的非标准工人具有更多的非正式特征，也就是说，他们被严重地排除在劳动法、社会保障制度和工会的保护之外。这意味着他们与韩国在20世纪70年代经济高速增长时期形成的城市非正规部门居民具有共同的特征。此外，我们还证实，即使在韩国的非标准就业中，也确实存在基于性别的明确歧视。
