Experimental Research on Relationship between Size and Frequency Using Mass and Spring Earthquake Model

用自制装置对Burridge-Knopoff模式地震模型进行了试验。模型系统由若干块体和弹簧组成，得到了滑动事件的震级分布（滑动事件大小与频率的关系）和时间间隔分布。结果表明，该系统在中小震级区呈现临界特征，在大震级区呈现特征特征。还阐明了这些分布如何取决于系统中的参数（块数、砂纸等级、弹簧常数等）。

Experiments on the earthquake model known as Burridge-Knopoff mode with self-made devices were conducted. The system of the model consists of some blocks and springs and the magnitude distribution(the relationship between the slip event size and its frequency) and time-interval distribution of the events were obtained. It was clarified that the system shows a critical feature in the small and medium magnitude regions while a characteristic feature in the large magnitude region. It was also clarified how these distributions depend on the parameters in the system(number of blocks, sandpaper grade, spring constant and so on).
