We examined social structure based on photo-identification and habitat use pattern based on land-based observation for young male sperm whales feeding in the Nemuro Strait in summer. Social structure of young male sperm whales is multilevel ; long lasting units temporally associate for a short time, and they showed clear diurnal movement pattern. High predation pressure and cooperation in feeding are considered to be major drives for their multilevel society and habitat use pattern.

我们研究了社会结构的基础上的照片识别和栖息地利用模式的基础上，陆基观察年轻的雄性抹香鲸喂养在根室海峡在夏季。雄性抹香鲸幼鲸的社会结构是多层次的，持久的单位在短时间内暂时联合，它们表现出明显的昼夜运动模式。高捕食压力和合作觅食被认为是其多级社会和栖息地利用模式的主要驱动力。
