We clarified that lower intellectual activity, poor ability of communication, historyof fall, poor exercise habits and eating alone are the risk factors of depression amongthe community-dwelling elderly. Further, 15-item geriatric depression scale predicts8-year mortality in older Japanese. Although intervention program for depression suchas reminiscence and exercise did not show statistically significant effect, theproportion of depressive elderly was slightly declined.

我们澄清说，智力活动降低，沟通能力差，堕落的历史，运动习惯不足和独自饮食是居住在社区的老年人中抑郁症的危险因素。此外，15个项目的老年抑郁量表可预测年龄较大的日语死亡率为8年。尽管抑郁症的干预计划这种回忆和运动没有显示出统计学上的显着影响，但抑郁症的老年人的比例略有下降。
