1年目は、2010年1月中旬～3月上旬の週2回程度、S市立の小・中学校に、4名の「プレ教師」を、実験的に参与観察のために派遣し、そこで生成する「プレ教師」の「学びの履歴(視点:何を見ているかと時間的変化:どう変容しているのか)」を、「見習いの様子の観察」「日誌」「学びのレポート」「インタビュー」から分析した。分析は、提出された学びのレポートの内容に沿って、4名の「プレ教師」に対して半構造化インタビューを実施し、得られたデータは共同研究者1名とともにコーディングを行った。一方でこれと平行して、4名の「日誌」をデータ・ベース化し、「2%以上頻出した語」の上位から、「子ども(児童・生徒)」、「教師」、以下出現語を関連群ごとに「教授行為」、「わかる・できる」、「教場環境」、「価値」、「授業(展開)方法」を得て、これらを仮説的に「学びの視点」とした。この二つの分析から、プレ保健体育教師が学校共同体参与の初期プロセスの中で知恵と技の伝承に関わる学びの基盤として、「3つの局面」(局面1:「子どもへのまなざし」から「教師へとまなざし」へと移行する局面、局面2:教師へのまなざしが「教師の意図」へと深化する局面、局面3:「大学での体験と既得知識の適用者」から「実践的知識の探究的学び手」へと変容する局面)が、立ちあらわれてきた。2年目は、前年度に得られた結果の妥当性と信頼性を得るために、1名の「プレ教師」と2名の教師志望の「非プレ教師」間での検証を試みた。期間は2011年1月中旬～2月末、方法は前年度と同様である。結果、頻出語数・語群ともに「プレ教師」に有意傾向が認められ、また、局面1は両者に表出したものの、局面2と局面3は「プレ教師」だけに確認できた。研究成果の一部は22年度に関連する国内外の学会・年報で公表した。また、23年度には国内外学会・論文等で発表の予定である。
