项目摘要

The relationship of number of daily steps and lifestyle habits with physical strength in 1607 elementary and junior high school students was analyzed. The results revealed a close relationship between breakfast habits and times of going to bed and getting up. The number of steps taken daily and after school were lower in winter compared to summer, while the number of steps taking during school hours was not seasonally affected due to the implementation of school-whole physical education. Children who exercised and who viewed television for a short time took more steps than those who did not exercise or who viewed television for longer lengths of time. Children in the high-strength group took more steps than those in the low-strength group and had established exercise habits.The present findings suggest that aiming to limit television viewing to≦1h/day and to take≧15,000 steps/day may increase physical strength.
