Development of a model to explain self-management behaviors of patients with diabetes

通过对国内外健康行为理论文献的梳理，发现Leventhal等人提出的常识模型（common sense model， CSM）具有多方面的框架，有助于解释慢性疾病患者的自我管理行为。本研究针对日本患者开发了疾病表征简要测量量表，作为CSM的主要结构。虽然在糖尿病血液透析患者中对量表的效度和信度进行了检验，但还需要更大样本的进一步研究来证实结果。

Review of domestic and international literatures about health behavioral theories indicated that the common sense model (CSM) by Leventhal and colleagues is useful to explain self-management behaviors of patients with chronic illness because of its multifaceted framework. The brief measurement scale of illness representation, the main construct of the CSM, was developed for Japanese patients in the present study. Although validity and reliability of the scale were examined in the hemodialysis patients with diabetes, further study with larger sample should be needed to confirm the results.
