项目摘要

平成22年度は、まず、外集団成員との接触時においてどのような状況要因がメタステレオタイプを活性化させるのか検討するためのパイロット実験を、日本人学生を対象に実施した。参加者は外集団成員と接触する状況に自分が置かれたときを想像した上で質問に答えた。実験1では、内集団成員の数あるいは外集団成員の数のいずれかが多いという情報を提示して、条件間の違いを検討した。実験2では、接触内容が協力的であるか競争的であるかの情報を提示して違いを検討した。主たる従属変数はメタステレオタイプの活性化であり、メタステレオタイプに関連する用語への反応を測定した。この結果は分析の最中であり、平成23年度に実施する本実験に役立てたいと考えている。次に、メタステレオタイプと関連が深い内集団びいきを説明する要因として、集団ナルシシズム(内集団の偉大さについての非現実な信念への心理的関与)を検討するために、英語版の尺度を日本語に翻訳して信頼性と妥当性を検討した。この尺度と他の関連する尺度を含んだ調査用紙を大学の講義後の時間に配布して、311名から回答を得た。その結果、高い信頼性を持ち(α.91)、集団同一視尺度、愛国心尺度、ナショナリズム尺度、社会的支配傾向尺度と有意な相関を持つとともに、自尊感情尺度とは相関を持たないことが示され、一定の妥当性を持つことも確認された。この集団ナルシシズム尺度は平成23年度以降の研究で利用する予定である。
