项目摘要

本研究は、異文化知識経営の事例研究である。事例であるNghi Son Cement Corporation(日本とベトナムの国際合弁企業)において異文化知識経営がどのように機能しているのか、異文化知識の創造がこの会社の成功にどのように貢献しているのか、を明らかにすることを目的とした。日本側(太平洋セメントと三菱マテリアル)とベトナム側の(ベトナムセメント)のマネジャーそれぞれ数人と、合弁企業の全部署の社員数人ずつにインタビューを実施し、書き起こしたテキストデータを質的データ分析ソフトウエアMAXQDAで分析した。互いに理解しがたい文化を持つ人間同士で知識を共創しようとする場合、メタファーがよく使われる。そこで、うまくメタファーを使いこなせる知的能力Metaphoric Intelligenceというコンセプトを創り、実際に事例の合弁企業で使われ、相互理解と知識の共創に貢献したメタファーとそれらが使われた状況に関するデータを集めて分析し、それらのメタファーを使った知識の共創の成功要因を析出した。次に、このMetaphoric Intelligenceというコンセプトをリーダーシップと結び付け、様々な国におけるリーダーのメタファー使用にかんする文献を基に概念的に考察を進めて、リーダーシップにおけるメタファーの役割とリーダーのスピーチに見られるMetaphoric Intelligenceの事例を集め、今後の分析枠組みを提示するだけでなく、メタファー使用でやっていいこと、いけないこと、いかにMetaphoric Intelligenceを使えばよいのか、などに関するガイドラインを作成した。最後に、異文化知識のマネジメントにおけるメタファーの役割について考察を進め、さらに合弁セメント企業のマネジャーと従業員にインタビューをおこない、そのデータに基づいて異文化環境におけるアジアと西洋のマネジメントの差異を明らかにした。

This study is a case study of knowledge management in different cultures.
