2011年度は、沖縄本島の本部町の字伊豆味と今帰仁村の字謝名の豊年祭の踊りを調査した。また、宮古と八重山の重要な祭りの芸能の名所と環境についてのフィールドワークを行った。沖縄本島では、師匠や踊り手のインタビューを行った。これで、踊りの伝承がよく理解できた。先島における調査では、沖縄の全地域の芸能の把握も進んだ。これで、モースの「身体の技」という概念を利用して、民族的なアプローチで村ウドゥイの伝承の勉強を始めた。踊り手、師匠または音楽家だけでなく、舞台の組み立て、化粧・衣装の担当者も重要な役割を果たす。彼らも字の伝統の保存を伝承するから、彼らにも話をうかがった。この調査で、沖縄の字の住民にとって、踊りや豊年祭の踊りを練習すること、また、踊ること自体にはどのような役割があるかが徐々にわかってきた。たとえば、リゾートホテルに勤務している女性や、農業従事者からは、踊りの能力を得ることの過程とその意義をうかがった。また、沖縄の北方の集落の行事も研究した。特に安田のシヌグ、与那の海上、奥のシヌグのフィールドワークを始めた。豊年祭の歴史も研究したいため、それぞれの村ウドゥイのミークバイチョウ(面賦帳)を調べ始めた。この資料には演目と配役、役員、指導者などが記されており、私の研究には重要なものである。2年間、沖縄本島と離島の行事と祭りを深く研究してきた。区長または担当者と連絡ができて、将来の研究にも重要な基礎・足がかりができた。
