本研究は、遺伝子組み換えを代表例とした生命科学を巡る議論に特に注目し、異分野領域間での知識共有や議論の現状を把握し。今後の異分野間におけるコミュニケーションや知識共有について議論することを目的としている。そのため、遺伝子組み換えに関連する文献やテキストを情報源として、引用分析をはじめとする計量学的な観点からの分析を行うことを目指した。今年度は、以下の項目について進めることができた。1.科学計量学、科学技術社会論、科学政策分野を中心とした、先行研究の収集とレビュー2.分析手法に関連する統計学・情報科学分野の知見の収集とレビュー、分析手法の決定3.各種テキストデータ(論文タイトル・要旨・新聞記事)を用いた共語分析現状までに、先行研究のレビュー、今後使用される統計的手法の決定が行われ。また遺伝子組換えとそれの比較対象として幹細胞を巡る議論に関わるテキストの共語分析について一定の成果が得られたと言える。一方で、論文の引用関係に関する分析では、分析対象となるデータの収集は完了しているものの、その母体となるデータの量が膨大であるため、コンピュータープログラムによる中間処理において計画の遅れが生じてしまった。今後、プログラム処理のためのマシンスペックの検討や、より効率的なデータ処理の方法の検討を行うことが、研究を成果に結びつけるために必須の課題である。
