项目摘要

本研究の主目的は、マクロ経済の変動を抑制するための最適通貨バスケットウエイトを導出する事の出来る、バランスシート効果と多角的貿易を仮定した動学一般均衡モデルを構築する事で、「何に対して固定すべきか」という議論への政策的示唆を提示する事である。まず、貿易面に存在する摩擦が為替政策に与える影響を分析するため、生産者国側が為替変動を完全には価格に反映させない行動である市場別価格設定行動と通貨バスケットの構成比率について、市場別価格設定行動を行う輸出業者を仮定することで分析を行った。その結果、市場別価格設定行動が弱い通貨に対して相対的に大きく比率を設定する事で変動を効率的に抑制可能である事が明らかとなった。上記の研究結果は従来の通貨バスケットの議論で理論的にその関係を明らかにされていなかったものであり、政策的示唆を持つものである。次に、上記モデルを拡張し、資金調達における外貨建て信用制約により、投資と借入の間に通貨ミスマッチが存在するモデルを考え、為替政策の選択に与える影響について分析を行った。新興国においては、上記のような貿易における為替リスクのみならず、外貨建て資金調達による為替リスクが存在しており、これは為替政策の運営に対して影響する。分析の結果、大国間で発生する為替変動が小国に与える影響は、資金調達を通じた影響が非常に大きく、貿易開放度にかかわらず、貿易に存在する為替リスクよりも、資金調達に存在する為替リスクを抑制するような為替政策がより経済の安定に資することが示された。こうした結果は、新興国における為替リスクを考える上では、資本面での為替リスクが非常に重要であり、現実のように複数通貨で資金調達が行われている場合には、資金調達通貨の構成比率による通貨バスケットを参照とした為替政策運営がより望ましいということを示唆するものである。
