项目摘要

2011年7月までは、前年度に引き続きロシアでの在外研修を行った。ロシア語の習得に加え、外務省史料館、政治社会史資料館で短期間ながら研究を行った。また、モスクワに滞在中の英語圏のロシア・ソ連史研究者とも意見交換を行い、英語圏における研究潮流を感じ取ることができた。また、国際学会での英語発表を二回行った。一つ目は、ロシア滞在中の5月に香港・嶺南大学にて行われたイギリス帝国史の会議「Empire State of Mind : Articulations of British Culture in the Empire,1707-1997」で、二つ目は8月に英国ブリストル大学で行われた英中関係史の会議「Britain and China : Past,Present and Future」である。いずれにおいてもかつて中華人民共和国の第一歴史档案館・上海市図書館・四川省档案館などで収集した資料と、イギリスのNational Archivesで収集した資料を対照させながら用いることで、1905年から1911年に至る時期のイギリスの中国における鉄道借款政策について新しい見方を示した。学会発表のために執筆した原稿は現在修正中であり、Robert Bickers教授編纂の英語論文集に掲載が決定している。また、中国語の論文の翻訳を通じて、中国語圏の研究成果の日本の読者への紹介にささやかながら貢献した。『岩波講座東アジア近現代通史』第4巻(岩波書店、2011年)に収録された唐啓華「1920年代の中露/中ソ関係」を翻訳した。また、2011年12月3・4日に東京大学で行われた「辛亥革命百周年記念東京会議-グローバルヒストリーの中の辛亥革命」における唐啓華・王建朗両教授の基調講演を日本語訳した。なお、昨年度の時点でModern Asian Studies誌に掲載が決定していた英語論文については、本報告書執筆時点ではいまだ掲載時期が未定であるが、これを利用して若干の手直しを行った。

July, 2011- Language acquisition, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Historical Materials Museum, Political and Social History Database The English language community is a place where researchers exchange ideas and research trends. The International Society for English Language Development has two chapters. Lingnan University Hong Kong held a conference on the history of the Empire in May,1707-1997, and Lingnan University Hong Kong held a conference on the history of British relations in August,1707-1997. The First Historical Archives of People's Republic of China·Shanghai City Library·Sichuan Province Archives collected data from National Archives, collected data from China during the period from 1905 to 1911, collected data from China Railway Loan Policy. English Essays compiled by Professor Robert Bickers The translation of papers in China language and the introduction of research results in China language circle and Japanese scholars contribute to this. The fourth volume of "Iwawa Lecture on Modern History"(Iwawa Bookstore, 2011) was recorded by Tang Qihua,"The relationship between China and Japan in the 1920s". On December 3 and 4, 2011, Professor Tang Qihua and Wang Jianlang delivered a keynote speech at the Tokyo Conference on the Centennial of the 1911 Revolution. At the time of writing this report, the period of publication was uncertain, and some methods were used.
