项目摘要

本年度はまず、近代京都の町共同体の社会構造分析と、町を基軸とした地域社会、都市全体の構造把握について、下京商業地域の有隣学区・塩竃町を対象とする分析をとりまとめた。既発表(『部落問題研究』191号)の町共同体の社会構造分析の視点を引き継ぎつつ、それを都市社会構造全体を把握する方法論へと昇華させることを試みた。また、近世都市史研究の既往の成果や下記に記す近世後期京都の史料分析から、近世(後期)～近代の都市の展開を「伝統都市」論、また都市の比較類型からとらえる視点を得た。以上は、次年度早期に発の発表を目指す。なお、この成果の一部は、2012年3月に上海大学で行われた国際シンポジウムで口頭報告した。次に、都心部の梅忠町を素材に、17世紀半ば～幕末期における同町の土地所有構造の展開と、18世紀半ば以降の町運営について検討し、京都では18世紀前半～半ばに町人(家持)の入替と所有格差の拡大が確認されること、また町運営の担い手の検討から、居付家持を中核とする町運営が幕末期から明治初頭まで維持されていたことを明らかにした。既往の近世都市史研究の成果と合わせて、これまで明らかにしてきた近代の都市構造に続く近世後期～明治初頭における都市の基礎構造について一定の見通しを得た。さらに、近世以降、同町で圧倒的な位置を占めるようになる永楽屋(細辻家)の同家の土地集積過程や、それと並行する町内・周辺地域への別家関係の展開について検討し、同家が町内で圧倒的地位を得た後も、一貫して町運営に関与し続けていたという事実を得た。この成果をもとに、個別の家経営と町・地域との関係について検討を進めた。以上の成果は、早期に原稿化を目指す。

The achievements of the study of urban history in the late modern era and the early Meiji era have been fully understood. In recent times, the position of the pressure in the same town has been occupied, and the process of land accumulation in the same house (small house) has been carried out in parallel. The relationship between the different houses in the surrounding area of the town has been developed. The results of this study are discussed in detail in the context of individual household management, geographical relations and other issues.
