Construction of Local Historical Document Studies based on theory of Historical Materials Preservation at The Time of Large-scale Natural Disasters

日本地方社区持续不断的自然灾害和结构变化使社区中存在的大量史料面临丢失或损坏的风险。本研究旨在建立“地方性历史文献学”。研究结果如下：1)材料系统研究方法的构建：我们认为，不仅历史研究者，而且地方性的人都是保护和利用记录的关键参与者。2)建立新的材料保存和修复的具体方法：这是上述系统研究方法的关键部分。3)对日本东部大地震后地方史料保存的贡献：本研究提出了灾后抢救的原则和方法。4)地方历史文献研究的国际出版：该项目将新的历史文献研究作为一个全球性问题向世界展示。

Perpetual natural disasters and structural changes in the Japanese local communities place a vast number of historical materials existing in the communities at risk for loss or damage. This research was set to establish "local historical document studies".The results are as the followings: 1) Construction of the systematic research method of the materials: we considered not only historical researchers but also locals are key players of the protection and application of the records. 2) Establishment of new concrete methods for preserving and repairing the materials: this is a crucial part of the systematic research method mentioned above. 3)Contribution to the preservation of local historical materials after the Great East Japan Earthquake:our research proposed principles and methods of the saving after the calamity. 4) International publication of the local historical document studies: this project presented the new studies to the world as a global issue.
