Between the False and the Desperate : "Desire" and Ideology in Post-Ref orm China

本研究通过对改革开放后中国关于社会意识转型的各种论述的分析，认为80年代与90年代之间存在着一种断裂，前者具有“正确”的逻辑特征，而后者的主要特征则可以由“能力”的逻辑来界定。调查还表明，在1990年代，关于社会现实的主要论述是围绕“奋斗/奋斗”的概念形成的，而在2008年左右，人们开始把重点放在“成功”本身的概念上。

By analyzing various discourses on the transformation of social consciousness in post-reform China, this research drew a conclusion that there is a break between the 1980s and the 90s, and the former is characterized by the logic of "correctness",while the main feature of the latter can be defined by the logic of "capability". It also showed that whereas in the 1990s the dominant discourses on social reality were formed around the conception of "fighting/struggling", around 2008 the emphasis came to be placed on the conception of "success" per se.
