项目摘要

本研究の目的は内集団ひいき行動の適応的基盤を探るである。内集団ひいき行動とは、自分とは異なる集団(外集団)の成員よりも、自分と同じ集団(内集団)の成員に対して、より利他的に振舞うことをさす。しかし、なぜ人々が内集団ひいき行動を行うのかという問いに対する解答はこれまで得られていない。本研究では、適応論的立場に立脚しこの問いの解明を試みる。本年度は、昨年度に引き続き、ランダムマッチング・ギビング・ゲームを用いた進化シミュレーションを実施した。このゲームは、ランダムに選ばれた資源提供者が同じようにランダムに選ばれた資源提供対象者に対し、資源提供するか否かを決定するゲームである。進化シミュレーションでは、複数の行為者から成る社会を想定し、各行為者がこのゲームを行う中で、資源の提供の仕方に応じてどれだけの利益を得るのかを明らかにすることが可能である。それにより、どのような行動パターンが適応的かを解明できる。昨年度の研究では、ランダムマッチング・ギビング・ゲームの行動ルールの組み合わせから想定できるすべての戦略を検討できていなかったため、本年度では、想定できるすべての戦略が適応的かどうかを検討した。その結果、昨年度の研究では想定されていなかった内集団ひいき戦略群が適応的となった。この内集団ひいき戦略群は、外集団成員よりも内集団成員に資源提供しやすいという意味で内集団成員をひいき的に扱う戦略群であるが、外集団成員にまったく資源提供しない戦略ではない。この戦略は、資源提供対象者が資源提供対象者自身と同じ集団成員に提供しているような「内集団ひいきをしている個人」であるならば、資源提供していた。ここから、ランダムマッチングのような状況で、内集団ひいき行動が適応的になるために必要なのは、外集団成員であっても「内集団ひいき」主義を持つ人ならばサポートすることである可能性が示唆されたといえる。
