项目摘要

23年度の研究は、22年度末から継続しているイスラエル国ヘブライ大学における調査から始まった。特に長期間にわたって交流し多くのアドバイスを受けた研究者は、Shaul Shaked教授、Avigdor Shinan教授、Israel Yuval教授、Galit-Hazan Rokem教授、Anat Shapira博士である。これらの研究者との交流の合間には、現地でしか入手できない文献の収集や貴重本の閲覧に加え、22年度にFrankfurter Judaistische Beitrageというドイツの学術雑誌に投稿した論文が査読を受け、それを受けての修正などを行った。6月末に帰国してからは、まずユダヤ教において「魔術」とはどのようなものであったのかを明らかにする試みの一環としての論文作成を行った。続いて、その成果をさらに広範な文献に反映させた研究発表を行った。発表に対しては充実した質疑応答がなされ、文学・民俗学の専門家から、このような研究の重要性を指摘していただいた。9月中旬からは本研究の中心であるJannesとJambresの伝承についての調査に移り、先の研究調査の成果を反映しその伝承の発展に関する研究発表を行った。この発表は好意的な評価を受け、一つ大きなまとまりができたものと考えている。その後この研究発表を補足しさらに新しい文献への言及も加え、アメリカの国際学会にて研究発表を行った。これにより、国内外で本研究を発表することができた。なお、この学会には不参加だったJannesとJambresの伝承研究の第一人者であるAlbert Pietersma教授には私信で発表原稿を送り、細部に至るまで様々なコメントをいただいた。アメリカからの帰国後は、これら二つの研究発表を一本の論文にする作業に着手した。その成果が、3月末に学術雑誌『ユダヤ・イスラエル研究』へ投稿した論文(現在査読中)である。本研究は、この論文が集大成となる。なお、先に触れたFrankfurter Judaistische Beitrageへの投稿論文は、査読の第二段階が終了し、24年4月末に最終的な手直しを加えたものを提出し、掲載される運びとなっている。
