项目摘要

本年度は、琉球王国時代の久米村について、特に近世琉球時代(1609～1879年)における久米村の存在意義・役割に焦点を当てて研究を行った。18世紀末に起こった久米村の騒動、いわゆる「官生騒動」は、久米村の王府に対する最初の抗議行動である。それまで300年以上もの間維持されてきた久米村の職能的役割が、17世紀から18世紀にかけて首里に移行するようになると、久米村の王府に対する不満が次第に蓄積されていくようになる。そして、琉球から中国へ派遣される国費留学生-官生が久米村子弟から首里子弟に代わると王府に決定・通知されたことで、その不満は頂点に達する。この「官生騒動」については、今から100年以上前に伊波普猷が論及して以来、現在に至るまでほとんど研究がなされていない。そこで本年度は、伊波が用いていない中国側の档案史料を活用して、琉球がどのように中国に「官生騒動」を「報告」したのかを明らかにし、そこから王府が「官生騒動」をどのように受け止めたのかについて検討を加えた。また、王府が久米村を懐柔するために考案した「副官生派遣」という新たな施策についても検討した。「副官生」については、2011年10月29日に第14回琉球アジア社会文化研究会にて「琉球副官生派遣の実態」と題して報告し、「官生騒動」については、2011年11月27目に中国福建省で開催された第13回中琉歴史関係国際学術会議において「<官生騒動>と副官生派遣問題」と題して報告を行った。後者の報告は、2012年7月に論文として刊行される予定である。今年度は他に、中国福建省内で久米村関係調査を実施し、台湾では国立国会図書館等に赴いて、台湾で刊行された久米村関係論文を収集した。2012年1月には、久米村士族の末裔で組織される久米崇聖会の招聘で、久米村の歴史を3回にわたって講じた。また、今回で4冊目となる中国調査報告書『中国山東・河北省における琉球関係史跡調査報告書』を執筆・刊行した。
