発表論文1では,一般剛性の研究において広く知られているLamanの定理とTayの定理の拡張を行った.高次元グラフの一般剛性の組合せ的特徴付けは未解決な問題であるが,剛体棒構造モデルと呼ばれる特殊なモデルにおいては,その一般剛性の組合せ的性質がTayによって解明されている.我々はこの剛体棒構造モデルに対して,境界付きの場合を考えTayの定理の拡張を行った.外部との接続関係に幾何的な縮退がある場合においてもTayの定理が自然に拡張可能であることを証明した.高次元における幾何学的縮退を取り扱った研究はこれまで殆ど無く,本研究は目標である高次元一般剛性の特徴付けに対して,重要な考察を与えている.また上記剛性定理の証明のために,グラフの根付き木分割問題に取り組んだ.グラフの木分割定理の一般化として,各頂点への接続にマトロイド独立性制約が付与された特殊な根付き木分割が可能であるための必要十分条件の導出に成功した.この成果はグラフ理論・組合せ最適化分野で広く知られたNash-Williamsの森分割定理の一般化となっており,それ自体興味深い成果であると考えられる.発表研究2では,周期無限フレームワークの剛性の研究を行った.上記のTayの定理を周期無限剛体構造に拡張し,接続関係を素現する有限グラフの特徴付けに成功した.この結果は,今後の3次元結晶構造の剛性の解明の基礎理論として重要であると考えられる.発表研究3では,グラフの連結性とそのメディアルグラフの疎性や大域剛性の関係を解明した.その結果を利用しGraver, Servatius and Servatiusによる剛性サーキットのハミルトンパスへの分割可能性に関する予想を反証することに成功した.
