项目摘要

本年度は主としてイマヌエル・カントの人間観と言論の自由との関連を研究した。(1)人間観に関する研究の成果としては、「世界市民的見地における普遍史の理念」(1784)、「啓蒙とは何か」(1784)、「人類史の臆測的はじまり」(1785)などの歴史哲学的著作の読解を中心に研究を重ね、生来的に「他者に聞かれ、見られることを欲する存在者=人間」というモティーフを剔抉することができた。(2)カントの人間観と言論の自由との関連についての研究の成果としては、『永遠平和のために』(1795)、『法論の形而上学的定礎』(1797)、『徳論の形而上学的定礎』(1797)の読解をもとに、言論の自由が右記人間の「現われ」を求める性向を正確に反映し、人間の根源的欲求への配慮を表現していることが確認された。2011年7月にテュービンゲン大学(ドイツ)哲学部オトフリート・ヘッフェ教授の博士課程演習において行なった報告"Freiheit zum Erscheinen bei Kant (3):Uber Liebe und Achtung als Aufforderung zum Erscheinen"、および9月にアメリカ政治学会で行なった発表"How Can We Think Freely? Kant and the Freedom to Appear"においては、(1)についての分析を行ない、(2)へと考察を進めるための視座を開いた。2012年2月にテュービンゲン大学右記演習において行なった報告"Freiheit zum Erscheinen bei Kant (4):Der rechtsmoralische Grund der Redefreiheit"においては、それまでの成果を踏まえ、(2)についての分析を行なった。これらの研究成果を得たことにより、カントの人間観と言論の自由との内在的連関を、「暫定的法秩序」、および同原理に基づく法進歩という観点から体系的に捉え返すことが可能となったといえる。
