项目摘要

本年度はこれまでの研究活動を基にした博士論文を執筆・提出を行い、博士(学術・東京芸術大学)号を取得した。博士論文は3部6章構成とした。第1部では事例分析に際する基本的な視座を確認した。研究に際する先行事例や研究をレビューしたのちに、障害学的な見地を援用しつつ、何を「アウトサイダー・アート」と捉えるのかが歴史的文脈に応じて異なっており、結局のところ障害者の「他者化」は免れない点に触れた。その上で、既存の「アウトサイダー・アート」市場への参入を目指す活動が捉えきれていない矛盾とそれをめぐる葛藤について素描を試みた。第2部では2つの事例を扱った。社会に対して何らかの「障害」を感じている者たちと芸術家たちとのコラボレーション活動のなかでは、障害者の表現の独自性、さらにはある種の「毒」性を追求する態度がみられた。障害のあるダンサーを追っていく中では、障害というアイデンティティを受容するプロセスを通じて、差異に対して告発するのではなく、向き合い、表現に昇華してゆく足取りをたどることができた。第3部では理論的な解釈を試み、最後に本論が提起したのが「共犯性」という概念である。従来の「共同性」という概念はこれまで、その概念の曖昧さから、さまざまな形で援用され、障害のある人が関与する表現活動の解釈において都合よく利用されてきた。その「共同性」概念をより精緻化しようというのが「共犯性」概念の試みである。「共犯性」は、主体同士の関係性の差異に着目し、差異を差異のまま表現として表出しようとする試みであり、かつ、何らかの社会的・(広義の)政治的異議申し立てや価値観の提示等を行う取り組みのことを指す。そのような概念を規定することで、「共同性」を傘にして見過ごされがちな権力性やヘゲモニーの問題に立ち向かう素地とすることも目指した。その上で、「共犯性」が生み出す多元的な価値に言及したのが最終節である。
