This study considers the features and the social meanings of the culture and education of women among Japan, England and France from the second half of 19th century to the first half of 20th century in relation to the concepts of' lady',' dame' and' Tashinami'. The analysis of girls'school culture, manner books and women's magazine in each society made clear that these concepts were re-constituted as a well-educated woman's model with the expansion of girls' schools during the period. This study provides the foundation of the further comparative studies.

本研究从“淑女”、“贵妇”、“多见”的概念出发，考察了19世纪下半叶至20世纪上半叶日本、英国和法国女性文化教育的特点及其社会意义。通过对各个社会的女校文化、礼仪书籍和妇女杂志的分析，可以看出，随着这一时期女校的扩大，这些观念被重构为一种受过良好教育的妇女模式。本研究为进一步的比较研究奠定了基础。
