In order to develop a near-field microscopy, is it essential to generate a nanoscale light source beyond the diffraction limit. Moreover, the nanoscale light source needs to be strong enough in order to compensate for the possible small signal from such a tiny volume. In this research, I have developed thoroughly the near-field microscope from ultraviolet~visible~infrared frequency range. In each frequency, I focused on a characteristic polaritonic resonance including plasmon-, exciton-and phononpolaritons and applied the nanoscale light source at each frequency to vibrational or nonlinear spectroscopy.
