International comparative studies on structure and functions of the archiving system of official statistical data

通过在调查访问期间与外国专家工作人员的对话以及为这项研究项目组织的国际讲习班，我们揭示了国家统计机构作为调查框架保留的商业登记册的各种属性。数据库根据行政数据和日常分析操作进行更新，以确定各自业务的结构变化。该数据库不仅用于统计单位的抽样，而且用于编辑缺失的变量和记录。它还为商业人口统计研究提供数据。本文的研究结果构成了日本商事注册制度的基本核心概念。

Through the dialogues with foreign expert staffs at survey visits and international workshops organized for this research project we brought to light varied attributes of business registers which national statistical bodies maintain as survey frame. The database is updated based on administrative data and daily profiling operations to identify structural changes of respective businesses. The database is applied not only for sampling the statistical units but also for editing the missing variables and records. It also provides data to business demographic studies. Findings obtained from our research constitute cardinal core concepts in launching Japanese business register.
