Most countries other than Japan have already furnished databases called "business registers" as the survey infrastructure. Many of them further extend their activities to dynamic registers with demographic variables in the system. Under the globalization of business activities enterprise group has been identified in the registers as the new category of statistical unit.As for the household registers, Dutch Social Statistics Database (SSD) has the character of micro based SSDS. SSD is used not only as sampling frame but also as absolute measure to impute missing records. French statistical office (INSEE) has furnished housing register (RIL) that carry geocode as one of the basic variables. These have remarkable implications when we design future infrastructure for survey in Japan.
