Molecular cytogenetic analyses on crossing barrier between common wheat and its alien species of Triticeae

利用由品种间染色体置换系获得的重组自交系对普通小麦与黑麦的可交性进行了QTL分析，结果表明该基因位于普通小麦的短臂上。黑麦花粉在普通小麦雌蕊上的花粉管伸长观察表明，花粉管伸长与可交配性程度高度相关。这些事实表明，位于5B染色体短臂上的SKR基因抑制了普通小麦花柱中的花粉伸长。

QTL analysis on the crossability of common wheat with rye using recombinant inbred lines (RILs) developed from inter-varietal chromosome substitution lines clarified that the gene for crossability was located on the short arm of common wheat. Observation of pollen tube elongation of rye pollen on the common wheat pistils showed high correlation between pollen tube elongation and the degrees of crossabilty. These facts show that Skr gene located on the short arm of chromosome 5B inhibits pollen elongation in the styles of common wheat.
