Analysis of the inflammatory mechanisms caused by the Ali18 mutation in molecular and cellular levels

The Ali18 mutation in an kinase gene causes inflammatory arthritis in mice. However, its molecular mechanisms remains largely unknown. Here we show that Ali18; W/Wv double mutant mice show no inflammatory arthritis. These results indicate the effects of the Ali18 mutation on mast cells trigger the initiation of inflammation.
