In this report a teaching method using Myanmar’s traditional sport"Chinlone" as a teaching material will be examined.This method is supported by research described in my book "The Essence of the Chinlone in Myanmar".The following three approaches were used in the research. The 1st approach, participant observation of Chinlone was made, taking an inside view of the sport in Myanmar. In the2nd approach, I made teaching materials of Chinlone available to foreigners. As the 3rd approach, the teaching method of Chinlone was examined and these approaches led to the following conclusion.In order to use an ethnic sport as a teaching material, it is important not to translate the core part of its culture. This is the same conclusion as to the case of Chinlone.

本报告将探讨以缅甸传统体育“Chinlone”为教材的教学方法。这种方法得到了我在《缅甸华人的本质》一书中所描述的研究的支持。在研究中使用了以下三种方法。第一种方法是对Chinlone进行参与性观察，以缅甸体育的内部视角进行观察。在第二种方法中，我将汉语教材提供给外国人。作为第三种方法，我们考察了Chinlone的教学方法，这些方法得出了以下结论。要把民族体育作为教材，不翻译民族体育文化的核心部分是很重要的。这与Chinlone案的结论是一样的。
