We investigated whether the risks of cardiovascular disease increase among middle and old age climbers at Mt. Okuhodaka (3190m). From the results of various blood examinations, it was clear that the skeletal and cardiac muscle suffered some stress, but we had no evidence that the risks of cardiovascular disease increase.
