The Historical and Folkloric Study of Family Photographs in East Asia

在本研究中，我解释了日本的家庭照片直接受到西方家庭照片的影响，西方摄影技术在19世纪60年代后半期从西方传入日本，但发展出独特的风格。在日本，家庭照片的构成一方面以西方家长风格构成，另一方面又以儒家风格构成，儒家风格注重孝道精神，这是日本家庭照片的主流。目前在中国大陆和韩国台湾是相同的，所以儒家风格的家庭照片是东亚地区的鲜明特色

In this study I explained that family photographs in Japan were directly influenced by Western family photographs of the Western photographic technique which were introduced into Japan from West in the latter half of 1860’s but developed unique styles. In Japan, the composition of family photographs have been constituted in the Western paterfamilias style, but on the other hand they have been constituted in the Confucian style which attached much importance to the spirit of piety, which have been the main current of family photographs in Japan. Its current is the same in China and Taiwan, Korea, so family photographs of the Confucian style are the distinctive feature in East Asia
