Studies of Religion and Nationalism, State in Modem Japan

从2004年到2005年，我们进行了三年的研究。本课题以“近代日本的宗教与民族主义、国家研究”为题，旨在研究宗教与国家的关系。为了开展这个项目，我们组织了一个名为“文化/批判”的研讨会，并在三年内举办了16次研讨会。除了一位负责人之外，许多研究合作者以及大阪大学的学者和研究生参加了这些研讨会。在这次研讨会上，我们不仅邀请了指定的演讲者，还邀请了其他大学的学者和大阪大学的研究生进行演讲或发言，以促进不同大学的研究人员之间的交流。我们还认为，我们为培养年轻研究人员和发展研究生教育制度作出了贡献。

We have carried out this research for three years, from 2004 to 2005. The purpose this project, entitled "Studies of Religion and Nationalism, State in Modem Japan.", is to research the relation of Religion and State. Our two main aims are to examine how the religious policy and State Shinto, Yasukuni Shrine had influenced the religious life of citizens, and how the religion connected with the formation of nationalism.In order to carry out this project, we organized a workshop named "cultures/critiques", and held 16 seminars in three years. On top a person in charge, many research co-operators as well as scholars and graduate students from Osaka University took part in these workshops. In this workshop, we requested presentations or remarks from not only an assigned-presenter but also scholars from other universities and graduate students in Osaka University so that we could boost exchanges among researchers in different universities. We also believe that we contributed to the training of young researchers and development of the graduate education system.
