Remittance by Somali diasporas to residents in Somalia has been sent through modernized version of xawilaad, which is the system of sending money among Somalis. In this regard, remittance has been very important revenue or resources for local Somalis for their survival as well as local industrialization. Somalia diasporas also have been heavily involved in political development in Somalia, especially relatively stable Somaliland in the north. Therefore, Somali diasporas will have very high potentials to be important parts of state-formation in Somalia.

索马里侨民给索马里居民的汇款是通过现代化的xawilaad汇款的，xawilaad是索马里人之间的汇款系统。在这方面，汇款是当地索马里人生存和当地工业化的非常重要的收入或资源。索马里侨民也积极参与索马里的政治发展，特别是北部相对稳定的索马里兰。因此，索马里侨民将有很大的潜力成为索马里国家形成的重要组成部分。
