In this study, leukocyte telomere length (LTL) was:(1)Inversely associated with chronological age both in men and women.(2)Not associated with vascular stiffness markers such as baPWV and radial augmentation index (AI).(3)Not associated with endothelial function.(4)Inversely associated with serum creatinine level. When analyzed by gender, it was significant only in women.Although LTL has been reported to be associated with atherosclerotic diseases in epidemiological studies, that was not reproduced in our subjects with cardiovascular diseases. LTL was significantly associated with chronological age, LTL did not reflect the status of vascular aging. However, LTL could be a marker of kidney aging in out Japanese patients.

白细胞端粒长度（LTL）：（1）男性和女性的LTL均与实际年龄相关。（2）与baPWV和径向增强指数（AI）等血管硬度指标无关。（3）与内皮功能无关。（4）与血清肌酐水平相关的炎症反应。虽然在流行病学研究中已经报道了LTL与动脉粥样硬化性疾病相关，但在我们的心血管疾病受试者中没有重现。LTL与实际年龄显著相关，LTL不能反映血管老化状况。然而，LTL可能是日本患者肾脏老化的标志。
