Analysis of osteoarthritis: skeletal dysplasia due to type IIcollagen deficiency as a model

捷克骨发育不良，表现为早发性骨关节炎，是一种由II型胶原Arg275Cys突变引起的骨骼发育不良。为了研究骨性关节炎的发病机制，重点研究了II型胶原分子的代谢和胶原基质的超分子结构，主要研究人员通过小鼠II型胶原基因启动子和增强子的Arg275Cys突变获得了携带II型胶原的转基因小鼠。建立了两个独立的转基因小鼠近交系。

Czech dysplasia, showing early-onset osteoarthritis, is a skeletal dysplasia caused by a specific Arg275Cys mutation of the type II collagen. In order to investigate the pathomechanisms of osteoarthritis, focusing on the metabolism of type II collagen molecule and supramolecular structure of the collagen matrix, the principal investigator generated transgenic mice bearing type II collagen with Arg275Cys mutation overexpressed by the mouse type II collagen gene promoter and enhancer. Two independent inbred lines of transgenic mice were established.
