The main results of this study is development of the Optical Coherence Tomography(SS-OCT) imaging modality towards a practical level for use as a dental hard tissue diagnostic modality. Current diagnostic methods have used dentalX-ray to assess mineral density of tooth but OCT do a similar or advantageous assessment without exposure to any ionizing radiation.
