Development of novel treatment targeting Hedgehog signal in oral cancer

本研究旨在探讨口腔鳞癌中Hh信号转导通路及其信号抑制。免疫组化显示Shh和Ptch 1高表达。培养细胞中Shh和SMO蛋白高表达。RealTime PCR结果显示环巴胺可抑制Hh信号转导因子的表达。这些发现表明，新的治疗靶向在口腔癌的Hh信号抑制的可能性。

In this study, we investigated the Hh signaling transduction pathway and signal inhibition in the oral squamous cell carcinoma. Immunohistochemical method showed high expression of Shh and Ptch1. Culture cells showed high expression of Shh and SMO protein. RealTime PCR showed that the expressions of Hh signaling factors were inhibited by cyclopamine. These findings suggest that the possibility of novel treatment targeting in oral cancer by Hh signal inhibition.
