Development of a patient orientated self-management approach for people with inflammatory bowel disease: a preliminary study

为了为炎症性肠病(IBD)患者开发一种以患者为中心的自我管理方法，我们进行了两项调查：患者调查和专家医生调查。患者调查阐明了应对策略以及IBD患者在应对症状恶化时使用的策略的感知有效性。医生的调查表明，医生在溃疡性结肠炎可能爆发时的自我治疗方向是非常重要的，他们已经为患者提供了个性化的自我治疗计划。此外，我们开发了一种评估工具，用于识别不坚持药物治疗的高风险患者。

To develop a patient orientated self-management approach for people with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD), we conducted two surveys; patient survey and expert doctor survey. The patient survey elucidated coping strategies and their perceived effectiveness of strategies that IBD patients use in response to worsening symptoms. The doctor survey elucidated that doctors' direction about self-treatment at the time of possible flare-ups of ulcerative colitis was highly recognized as essential and they had given personalized self-treatment plan to their patients. Further we developed an assessment tool for identifying patients with a high risk of non-adherence to their medication.
