Participants of the present research comprised older adults living in a certain town within the Kantō region. The study examined how long, since first being certified as needing nursing care by nursing insurance, were participants able to maintain the same level of care, as well as what kinds of factors were associated with an individual when he or she could no longer maintain that level of nursing care. The Kaplan-Meier method was employed to calculate, for each level of nursing care required from the time of first certification, the rate at which individuals stayed at that level of nursing care, and the Cox proportional hazard model was used to clarify factors related to declines in the maintenance of nursing care levels.

本研究的参与者包括居住在关东地区某个城镇的老年人。该研究调查了自首次被护理保险认证为需要护理护理以来，参与者能够保持相同水平的护理，以及当他或她无法再保持护理水平时，与个人相关的因素有哪些。采用Kaplan-Meier方法计算从首次认证开始所需的每个护理水平的个人停留在该护理水平的比率，并采用考克斯比例风险模型来阐明与护理水平维持下降相关的因素。
