本研究では、スールー海とスラウェシ海をはさんで向かい合う、フィリピン・ミンダナオ島ダバオ州と東マレーシア(北ボルネオ)サバ州における、東アセアン成長圏構想(BIMP-EAGA)による経済インパクトについて、グローバル化のもとでの観光開発と、地域住民の生業変化いう観点から比較研究する。平成23年11月末に来日した共同研究者のアントリハオが平成24年度も活動の中心になり、収集した資料・文献やインタビューの整理と分析などを行った。最終的な成果の取りまとめのためには、まだ多少の時間を必要とするが、すでにそれらの一端や概要については、交際学会や東南アジア研究所ニュース・レターなどで紹介した("From Dead Zone to Destination : Tourism Development and the Charting of the BIMP-EAGA Subregion", "Development of the Margins and the Margins of DeveloPment : Tourism and Local Livelihood System in Southern Philippines", "Peripheral Contact Zones : Reforestation Movement and Globalization from Below in an Ifugao village in the Philippines")。またLouは、上記研究と並行して博士論文の加筆修正作業を行い、その原稿が米国ネブラスカ大学出版会の2人の査読者から、きわめて高い評価を得た。'Playing With the Big Boys : American Imperialism and Postcolonial Discourse in Twentieth-Century Philippines"として、今年中の出版が予定されている。

This study is a comparative study on the development of regional residents 'business in China, and on the development of regional residents' business in China. At the end of November 2013, co-researchers were invited to participate in the activities of the 2014 National Congress of the Communist Party of China. How much time is necessary for the final results? Summary? Communication Institute? Southeast Research Institute? Introduction ("From Dead Zone to Destination : Tourism Development and the Charting of the BIMP-EAGA Subregion", "Development of the Margins and the Margins of DeveloPment : Tourism and Local Livelihood System in Southern Philippines", "Peripheral Contact Zones : Reforestation Movement and Globalization from Below in an Ifugao village in the Philippines")。The author of this paper, Lou, wrote a book on the research and revision of his doctoral thesis, and the author of the manuscript was awarded the title of the author of the book by two researchers at the University Press. 'Playing With the Big Boys : American Imperialism and Postcolonial Discourse in Twentieth-Century Philippines'
